These loans are issued directly by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) and come with a fixed interest rate of 2.6%, which is calculated as the CPF Ordinary Account (OA) interest rate plus 0.1%. Only Singapore citizens are eligible for HDB loans, and applicants must meet specific criteria. This includes an income ceiling of SGD 14,000 for families or SGD 21,000 for extended families. Additionally, applicants must not own private property.
